Shania down! Shania Twain took a nasty spill at last night’s Country Music Television Music Awards in Nashville.
Twain’s tumble came as she approached the stage in the Bridgestone Arena to present the Male Video of the Year to Blake Shelton. After initially looking as if might have been in pain after the fall, she quickly recovered and laughed off the snafu. Shortly after the show, Twain uploaded a YouTube video laughing about “making a fool of myself.”
I didn’t hurt myself. I have a bit of a sore stomach – that’s about it,” Shania cracked.
She also says she’s going to “auction off” the high heels she was wearing when she slipped.
I never want to see those shoes again. Or maybe I should keep them as a souvenir?”
Twain announced Wednesday that she plans to take up residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. She will begin her two-year stint on Dec. 1, 2012 and will play 60 shows a year.
